I just tried to post to the module reository forum and it does not show here. So here is my post.

I was just looking at the Module Repository and noticed that one of my modules is way out of date and that version is also insecure. I tried to tell you to delete it, but I get an internal page error and it won't save my info.

Once this old module is deleted and I finish the new version I will add it to the Module repository if it works. I also don't think I want my modules on sourceforge, I don't like the way it works. the lightbox effects make my browser take much longer than it should, don't see the usefulness of using lightbox effects there.

I think the only place to get my modules is from my site, that is the only way to assure the end-user gets the most recent version available.

If you need to have a section for third party modules that have a link to the third parties site then that should be what you do.

Thank You,

John

yes, the repository needs a lot of purging. old modules should be deleted but after adding a lot of new modules.
hosting all files in sf.net is just to guarantee the repository so we will be sure we dont lose any file after a long time period.
what the user should do if by any means your site is not be accessible?
if you upload your files in any other reliable website as a mirror we would be glad to use that instead of sourceforge.
after all if you really want users download your files from your website as a ONE and ONLY place, please verify it at the submit form with a note to admin.

DJ, im not suffer with the snow storming it just make a little problem in my connection and speed!

edit: i edit the name of this topic for better recognizing. really i dont think its relevant to me by the first look

Irmtfan,
I am very impressed with all the new offerings...

It obsoletes a lot of what I have done, but that is all right... just keep obsoleting.

I will catch up with you on the backups -- eventually!

SEE: ModuleList Text

Working.....

Right now you can copy and paste the file name into the address bar replacing modulelist.txt to download the zip file. Not very pretty but works ok.
