Another daydream:

A module that creates smart tags. You can already use XOOPS codes all over your site to print certain user information and other things.... How about a module that you could use to create content that would be visible wherever a short little code is placed on the site or in a template?

You have smarty plugins...

(And I may be wrong, but I think they will work faster)
