xpress/wordpress protector?

I recently updated the protector module to the latest 3.04,
I am using xpress/wordpress 2.05, now when I or members go to post a blog we get this:-

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Is it a coincidence? I have disabled protector still no go.

This is when logged in as admin lol, and using the XOOPS interface, when I try the wordpress interface, I can get to the backend but it doesn't have the horizontal menu to edit things it's blank where the menu should be.

I have of course checked the permissions, they are fine and unchanged, I have updated both modules, I have cleared the cache, I have searched and am now at my wits end, if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated?

I have looked through all of the posts and there doesn't seem to be an answer that works for all people that have the same problem, even though they have marked it as resolved, there are at least three fixes, I think it's time for me to back up and start from scratch, hopefully it may work. I really don't know what else to do. Databases scare me lol.

Im glad you dug thru all that mess... One thing is foresure it's not protector.

There is a post somewhere around here about fixing the table in your datebase.

I think thats you problem base on what I read...

I'll look around some more... Give me a few before you delete it...

I can't remember where I seen it... It will bug me all nite now.
