I un installed xampp because I liked wamp so much. The only problem is wamp5 does not switch back to php4 like xampp.

Err...

Im downloading xampp give me a few...

Hum at this point maybe MediaWiki would be a better choice. Here is my reasoning. Dj dev the doku module for xoops. He recently installed MediaWiki here at XOOPS instead of Doku?

This is a far as I take this. Maybe Dj or Bandit will chime in about this...

For personal usage, DokuWiki is a very good choice.

However MediaWiki is more suitable for "large" applications.

+1 for Mediawiki
storing data in database is more secure and it is too easy to manage. just my idea.

The problem with switching is that the users have been spending a lot of time building it up. Asking them to do-it again will make me a "WANTED" person at work

For some unknown reason, it does not think the ..uploads/dokuwiki/cache is writable! I have made the directory a 777, which is wide open, yet! The other directory are OK! When I try to do the indexing, it also failed because I cannot write there ...

You said you were on a mac? Is this site on a intranet? If not do you have a hosting control panel?

The site is on a Mac, hosting internally. I will do some more debugging and post what I have found out. I commented out the is_writable check to have things display currently, but nothing else can be added or indexed at the moment.

There really is alot of error's in the module so maybe on
the Devs Site you might get an answer. Good luck with google translate.

Dont know if this might help but and is not related but...

I had a problem once on a host. I would chmod my files and they would read to be correct thru wsftp and winscp both very good ftp programs. The problem was XOOPS would say the permissions were not correct even if I knew they were.

Fast forward a little and thru trial and error I figured the server was funky. Found out that if I went into my cpanel/control panel and use the file manager to chmod the files everything worked like it should.

Very strange issue but one that was solved. Needless to say I got a new hosting account the month after.

Admin indexing error, all pointing to the directory write issues which we know worked fine in 2.02 prior to the upgrade to 2.10:
