I am trying to change the default comment display order from flat to threaded. I have gone into prefferences, general settings (edit), default comment display order, Changed from flat to threaded, and pressed GO. It does not change and the comments are still opening in flat. Can anyone help?

Delete browser cache, templates_c folder (NO index.html) and try again!

Each user can set their own preferences that override the system settings - edit your profile and you will see.

The system settings will apply to anonymous users, so you should also see the changes after you log out.

Thanks Skenow, i knew it would be something simple, just did not think of changing personal settings. Is there anyway to do a mass change on all user settings from flat to threaded as the registered users have not changed the settings from the original flat setting.

Can anyone tell me where the script is that Preferences Main General Settings writes to?

Hi I just installed the new 2.0.17.1 xoops. It is really nice.

I can not get the prefference geteral settings to change the site title or change the theam.

it will not write to the file it returns.

We did this once, just ran a simple SQL query to change the relevant value for all users directly on the database. Backup your database before you mess with it though!
