I work in the line of fire with XOOPS, and I have to say this is what customers want:

· WYSIWYG editor
· A friendly control panel (people likes EXM edition)
· More powerful image manager

So do I....

I'm ready to take one of the points, for example a class to use any WYSIWYG editor, does someone wants to work with me ?

Would be very good if Frank was able to help you with this Herve - as he and Ralph have done a good job in this direction.

I have really discovered TinyEditor a few months ago but I'm also using Kiovi. Franck, Ralph, Samuel, are you there ?

Hi,

Really all you had good points of view here and i want to help.

If not import I would like to start working on improving the image manager.

As some already know, I created the option to automatically resize the images sent to where it exceeds the limits of the category and I have some other ideas.

Like:

- Subfolders in uploads folder (One for each category)
- Options to manipulate and apply filters on the images
- Option to create thumbnails
- Option to use some effect to show the image like lightbox for example
- And more...

Regards

Yes it's a good way. I think to an interface (think php5 and OO) and that may be in core not in each module.
In general i think there may be have lot of general interface and people can be add class implements this interface and can be changed easily.
I'm on progress to put system like this on XOOPS for kernel's class.

Yes...

I think to a log system like log4j it's a good thing for developpement with debug and i think after it's a good purpose for professional uses.

I found log4php but it's writing in php4...
