Hello,

What is planed for XOOPS 2.0.18 and is it possible to ask some new features like :

1/ Inclusion of tcpdf

2/ A new class to be able to use all the major WYSIWYG editors (Kiovi, FCK, TinyEditor etc). Some modules like Smartsection, CBB and News already have some code to manage this but copying into each module, each time is really boring

3/ Some new translations in global.php like, for example :
Go to the module
Settings
Administration
Categories
Ok
Data was saved successfully
There was a problem while saving data
Action
Add an item
Do you really want to delete this item ?
Id
Modify
Add
Save
Online
Offline
etc

4/ etc

Hervé

Totally agree, those are simple implementations that won t break any compability and that could be changed later again without breaking compability. Hervé tu as tout support pour ces demandes , bien vu.

i'd also like the addition of an option in preferences to disable/enable viewing of the webmaster account uid=1

Not really a function, but I think the country list (class/xoopslists.php) should be updated conform ISO-3166.

I've read in post (I think it was in this forum) that there was an issue with the timezones too.

The WYSIWYG function should be built in indeed as mentioned by Herve.

Totally agree with Herve about Editors and tcpdf.

The webmaster account is a very valid point Vaughan.

Standard WYSIWYG implementation - YES!

Hierarchy of group management (like kaotik's module, but more extended)

Standard PDF implementation YES!

A better file manager/imagemanager for all editors - Koivi can use the system imagemanager and imagemanager can be hacked to use MyAlbum-P as the imagemanager and gallery

Standard logging/tracking built in

A menu system

Everything that you are asking for I offered to add to XOOPS (and more), I was either ignored or told that it wasn't required (Not by the new team by the way) and this was one of the reasons why I decided to do Zarilia or Code-plus at the time. I did in fact add all of those items to it and loads more, like sections, categories, content management, new Media Manager, filemanager, Menu Manager, logging system, error logging, static content, trash management, ajax support, tabbed theme forms, forms manager. I also updated much more and it wasn't wanted so...

You have a good chance to add these - if you still wish to - now

I remember you showing me some screens of the revised image manager, a long time ago, and it was certainly an improvement.

Most of the code already exists and has been tested since a long time.
Isn't it time to use it ?

Also, I'm doing some code coverage and analysis with xDebug and kcacheGrind/Wincachegrind.
There as also much things that could be done with this.

It's an excellent way to find bottlenecks.
For example, it's true that XoopsObject is a time consuming object but because just to display your website index page (without module) its initVar method is called more than 1000 times.
