Is there a port to any distance learning software out there?

I am looking for distance learning software for one of the projects that I am working on. Is there one in existence that is already ported?

Do you mean for doing courses or lessons over the net?

If so there ishttp://moodle.org/

There used to be a modulised version of this, but it seems the main xoopsmoodle site is now gone.

You maybe able to find that module still out there some where.

If your after something totally different, then I'm sorry I didn't understand.

Yes, you speak exactly of what I'm looking for. I was looking at Moodle, aTutor (which has a Joomla port), and LogiCampus. I liked aTutor because it has a payment module available. I loved LogiCampus because of the clean layout. I never really got a chance to look at Moodle.

This is definitely a 'serious' project. Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at dokeos.com.

@Everyone

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of the modulized version of the Moodle system that Tom speaks of, please let me know. This project wont be starting for another month, so as of right now I'm gathering ideas.

If you need to build an online testing, look at "Nivelamento" -https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3706

There was also some Quiz module ...
