hi everyone ,,,,

im using the dictionary module version 0.92 ....

i have a big database of word and terms ,,,
when i imported some of them (maybe around 6000 entries) using phpmyadmin , the module got really slow ,,,
when i imported more .. the module stopped working at all !!!! if i open it , i get a blank white screen !!!

can you help me plzzzz ....

You might try deactivating the auto link feature. The feature that creates hyperlinks for dictionary entries found in a definition will slow down the module. It checks every definition for all 6000 entries.

Just FYI there is a new version called Lexikon. I aint saying this will fix your probs, just so you know ;o)

Oh sorry, I should clarify, Lexikon is the latest version of Wordbook ;o)

So sorry, I have misspoken, my suggestion would have applied to the Wordbook module (built on Dictionary), which is now under development as Lexikon.

The Dictionary module is very old and prolly not many people are still using it who could answer your question.

The dictionary module begat Wordbook module begat Lexikon module. The latest incarnation of a XOOPS dictionary type module is Lexikon as stated above. It's your best bet.

BTW, Shouting in caps will not get you a quicker response here.
