Cann't submit news at News 1.44 Module

Hi,
I've tried to solve the problem but I couldn't.And I did not find any help in search tool.

When I try to submit an articule the options for adding a link, image, e-mail, quote or code are desactivated. I am able to do it at the level of a topic manager but it doesn't work for the articles. The problem looks like the all bar is desactivated....Also the options to change the format style doesn't work. However I am able to write in the text area, piblish it and upload any file.

Is there something wrong or that is the way that the module works?

I forgot to say that when I try to click on any of the options of the bar the message in the botton of the esplorer is : "Fail at the pag"...

I am also working with the debug ON but there is not problem reported. After I click on SEND botton there is always a report of the following mistakes, but Hey they are reported even when is succefull updated the data y published.

Did this ever get resolved as im now getting the same problem since my hosts upgraded to MySQL 5.

ive now noticed the all my stories have now disapeared.

Hi Barry,

When you say "disappeared" do you mean that they are still in the database but not displaying or that they have gone from the database altogether?

I suspect the former. Hopefully your post over on the IZ site will bring about a reply.

Ive looked in the database and all but 11 are gone, but news still isnt showing any.

Aparantly the table "stories" has crashed.

Anyone know how to fix this as "Repair" isnt working and also tried the "maintain tables" link in News its self.

Im not really bothered about getting the articles back, I just wanna get news to be able to post again.

Since im not that bothered about getting the stories back, will dropping the table within phpmyadmin then clicking on Maintain Tables in "News" fix my problem of the crashed table?

Doesnt matter now, my hosts imported a DB backup i had because phpmyadmin was far too slow for me to do anything.

Everything is back as it was before the muckup.

So if you get those errors and cant post to any news topic, then its bound to be a corrupt or crashed table. Just roll the table or db back to when it was ok if Repair doesnt work.
