paid member group!

How can this be made via xoops?
For example registered users haves access to all content except photos myalbum module let`s say!
To have access to module myalbum they should pay monthly subscription via moneybookers?
This can be made automaticaly via xoops?
Or should i use manual solution to pay me via moneybookers and after that to transfer that member to the group paid members and to have access to myalbum?!
So this can be made via XOOPS automaticaly via an module plugin or something?
Thanks to all anticipately!

I have never tried it, but Xdonations provides the option to move a user into another group after receiving a donation. I always guessed this might be a starting point for an 'upgrade your membership' mod.

Like I said, I never tried it... so it may not actually work!.

It also relies on PayPal IPN which can be unreliable sometimes.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

gtop00,

only 2005, gee's I can remember discussing this way before then.

Ok your options today.

XASSET - If you can still get a copy anywhere, but it only supported paypal.

Subscription - http://products.thirdeyesoftware.com -

Quote:
* Paypal Payment Gateway
The Paypal Payment Gateway allows you to accept Paypal web or subscription payments with the Subscription Module.
* Verisign Payflow Payment Gateway
The Verisign Payflow Payment Gateway allows you to accept live payments with your Payflow account and the Subscription Module.
* CCBill Payment Gateway (coming soon)
The CCBill Payment Gateway allows you to accept web payments with your CCBill account and the Subscription Module.

Amember - http://www.amember.com - Works with an XOOPS plugin, costs about $200 in total, but very #OOPS# cool.

Now I know of an XOOPS developer, very talented, done some fantastic stuff with a subscription module, however I'm not sure if he is releasing that anytime soon, and therefore not really my place to elaborate further. I'm sure if he see's this he will reply. <----- Personally I'm hoping for a commercial release of this one

Now before people look at the above suggestions and say 'ohh they cost money, that's not fair' just remember this is open source, not everything is FREE source. and if your making money, don't complain about having to spend money to do so. speculate to accumulate.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Re: paid member group!

so amember how is used or how can be instaled more exactly?
after i buy it what are the next steps or?
maybe that developer see this and reply to this thread!
anyhow if you know him better you can invite him in this disccusion!
Sure this kind of work should be payd!
to make money is logicaly to spend money in my opionion so that is not a problem but the product haves to make very good work and to worth the money!
Anyhow if that developer will released something it`s better to have multiple payment gateways and at least 5 payment gateways:moneybookers,paypal,2checkout,ccbill,worldpay!
Thanks looking forward...

The new XOOPS module, should have more payment gateways, I sent an E-mail to that developer to inform him of this post, just in case he miss's it.

Amember is a stand-alone script initially, but the XOOPS plugin gives it the ability to work with XOOPS groups and move users for subscriptions, it's rather tasty with features.

I once purchased it, but then opted for the 30 day refund policy, but only because I want something integrated as a module, and not something I have to mould around my current system.

All in all Amember is about the best available at this moment in time, but it's not a module, just a plugin, a very cool one.

Look at their features: http://www.amember.com/p/Main/Features

And amember accepts a lot of payment gateway options: http://www.amember.com/paysystems.php
