I just realized that newbb 2.0 is running as a forum on my website. Can I upgrade this to CBB 3.08 without losing anything? If I do... how can I get it back.

I believe the answer is yes. I did it some while ago but have lost the instructions. As always with modules, seeking help from the module producer is usually the best bet (in this case xoopsforge.com) followed by doing a good search here at xoops.org.

As to how do you get it back in the event of failure - do a backup BEFORE trying to install/upgrade to CBB. FTP your newbb files onto a local drive and then use your SQL administration tools to export your database.

Dear BlueStocking,

Until there is an Official Announcement (here in News) that the Support Forums are held in XoopsInfo, please DO NOT advice / redirect so.

It seems to me like 'sabotaging' the xoops.org forums.

i would like to add to Ashley's post..

that cbb has a upgrade script that checks what version of newbb or cbb you are upgrading from and it executes the script for it. like akitson said.. do a back up first.

and CBB requires Frameworks and The XoopsEditors
