Error: "Unable to write to main menu."

I have checked the data base side as well as re generated the template files. I have set permissions to 777 on the file to no avail. I can not seem to get my tired brain to figure it out.

Deleted it and it works like a charm. I wish when I put the terms "main menu" or "write main menu" in this site it would have pull that reference.

I deleted cache/adminmenu.php and set cache/ to 777 but still get the same error. My browser is configured to send HTTP_REFERER.


edit: I turned on debug and when I tried to get back to the main menu it now tells me "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed."

I click below and it brings me back to the same page.

My site URL was configured as "example.com". My .htaccess redirects example.com to www.example.com. I added www. to the site URL in mainfile.php and I'm able to enter admin area.
