Hello,

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with an issue.

I have moved my XOOPS site from www.vanleest.org (still running) to www.alexandria66.nl (also running, but with the problem.

The problem is that all menu items are without a hard return. I thought it was because of the template, but I downloaded the one from the first server, uploaded it into the second server but the problem remains. I also cleared the cache and templates_c folder but all without results. I think I have all permissions set correct and have exported and imported the database without problems.

Can someone provide a solution to this?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Is the templated changed by 2.0.14 (upwards) overriding?

I notice the original has

- and the new one doesnt - so i'm wondering if the menu template has been over-written...?

Perhaps theme/template update has been disabled in admin?

The first site was installed XOOPS version 2.0.16, so the new one is exactly the same. I do not really understand what you mean by "2.0.14 (upwards) overriding", but since it is working on one site, i think it should on the other.

When I look at the source of the pages, i see at both sites:
 &bull

For the templates: I have downloaded the default template from the first site (on general settings from admin section), and uploaded it on the second, and gave it another name (default copy). Then also on general settings in admin config I selected to use the default copy. I think this is the right way to check if this problem is within the template?

I also tried enabling an option called "Check templates for modifications ?" on general settings from admin section.

For the themes: I have re-copied the entire themes folder.

What this tells me (image above) is that they are not meant to have line breaks between the menu items in the template output.
Your theme table setting are...
<
table cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2"><tr><td width="20%">
<!--
Start left blocks loop -->

The settings here on XOOPS are:
  <
table cellspacing="0">
    <
tr>
      <
td id="leftcolumn">
        <!--
Start left blocks loop -->

I would look at the theme tables for the answer.
Maybe someone familar with that can help.

Change to the XOOPS default theme and see if you have the same problem.

in the style.css #mainmenu a {} should have display: block; , maybe it's this.

in my opinion this stylesheet is obsolete and all that styling is already or should be managed in the theme stylesheets.
