There is a request for official site reports however there has been any formal report yet.

davidl2 is leading a team on a Community Add-ons Site that has been discussed and worked on for a long time, which is, according to david's introduction, about to be ready for open within a matter of weeks.

Since the XOOPS design team and module development team are being built with official theme/module repository design, respectively, it would be great to have a conversation between the teams for an overall design for the relevant sites, as davidl2 suggests.

So, I think now it's time for studioC, akitson and davidl2 to work together on the add-ons site issue and then keep us informed with timely updates.

Just to clarify:

The Addons site is not an official site, but a Community powered site.

However, we will be working closely with members of both the Official Theme and Module teams.

I'll be posting an update over the next few days, as work progresses.

David,

Just to clarify:
Is http://xoops-end-user.com

A community website or a personal website? What is the difference?

Thank you.

IMHO there is a difference between a community site and a personal site.

A personal site is a site wich is develloped and maintained by a person who doesn't have to count with the ideas and feelings of anyone.
A community site has in my opinion give itself a task. It wants to serve a goal. To make it work and getting to that goal the sites has to count with ideas and feelings of the community. So a personal site can do want he/she wants. A community site has to serve and respect the community.

Just my two cents

Not necessarily. The site of the GiJoe can be seen in first ranch as being personal, but also it is in truth one of the best sites of support to XOOPS world-wide. Beyond it is clearly to count on great development of modules.

Just my 0.5 cents

Agreed. 2 examples:

Personal: (MWR) http://mywebresource.com/
Community: (Xi) http://xoopsinfo.com/

MWR is a "one man show"; therefore, a personal site. Xi was built by members of the community, for members of the community and facilities are in place to gather and implement community feedback.

Big difference.
Insanity can be defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Stupidity is not a crime. Therefore, you are free to go.
