I'm running the CBB forum version 3.05, over the last few weeks there's a lot of spam posted. Is there a hack or something, like a code to confirm the post?

I'd like to keep the possibility for non-members to post in our forums but like to keep the spam out. I know there's an option so I can screen the posts first, but that's not what I want.

In the Protector Module is a Spamprotection. You can set the number of URL's that can be posted by user or visitor bevor it is marked as Spam.

Or you use a Captcha Code. Doku sorry only in german and php5!

THX Wuddel, that CAPTCHA code was what I was looking for

I'll give it a try, need to check my php version 1st though.

Darn, I got PHP 4.4.4...

and the Protector module gave me some probs in the past, any other ideas?

Talked to my hosting company, they are going to move my site to a new server, which runs PHP5+, in some days. So waiting for that so I can use the CAPTCHA
