Trouble with php block

I am trying to add a php block to the main page of my site (Center-right) and keep getting an error. when adding a previous php block to the left side I noticed I am not suppose to include the INCLUDE "plugathug/config.php";

func_Showplugs(30, 2);
?>

I am sure the script I am trying to input is working and I have the location correct..When not including the
Running XOOPS 2.0.16

Any idea's?

You are correct, you do not need the opening and closing php tags. The only thing I can think of is make sure the drop down box to select the kind of block it is has php selected.

yea..I did that. I made sure the type was set to "php"..but without the tags i just get a blank screen that says "Error"
