As the other guy stated, just about all short url related scripts use mod-rewrite. As for PHP5, I think it's still a little unstable. just my 2 cents

I'm in a bind here guys. I thought I could find a XOOPS module like this pretty easily but so far no luck. All I really need is a module that has a shopping area where people browse software/music..whatever, they fine what they want and add it to their shopping cart, they checkout and pay via paypal, then receive a unique download link to download the product.

Xoops version 2.0.17

any help is greatly appriciated. If you know a free one or one you have to pay for please share!

I'm not sure of the answer here, but are you not able to use the bottom blocks? Use the bottom center block with any weight which will display beneath all of the top blocks?
Or does your theme and/or content prevent you from doing that?

Thank you but I think my theme must prevent that..when I try to use the bottom blocks it simply will not display at all on the main page

You are correct, you do not need the opening and closing php tags. The only thing I can think of is make sure the drop down box to select the kind of block it is has php selected.

yea..I did that. I made sure the type was set to "php"..but without the tags i just get a blank screen that says "Error"

Hello All...I am having some problems placing blocks on the main page of my site. I'm running XOOPS 2.0.16

I am trying to add 4 blocks..at the top of the main page i want a block located at center-center (no problem there) below that I want a block center-left and center-right. Finally below that, I want one more block center-center.

I tried weighing them at 0 for the first, 1 for the second two, and 2 for the third..however, no matter what I do it displays both center-center blocks at the top and the 2 that are next to each other at the bottom..How can I fix this? Obviously the weight part doesn't seam to make the two side-by-side blocks appear 2nd in position on my main page

any ideas?? I hope this was made clear enough :\

I am trying to add a php block to the main page of my site (Center-right) and keep getting an error. when adding a previous php block to the left side I noticed I am not suppose to include the <?php and <? at the end....I tried adding the following code:
<?PHP
INCLUDE "plugathug/config.php";

func_Showplugs(30, 2);
?>

I am sure the script I am trying to input is working and I have the location correct..When not including the <?PHP and <? I get an "Error:" screen and my whole main page is gone..When not including it the block simply doesn't show up.

Running XOOPS 2.0.16

Any idea's?

Hello All, I am running XOOPS 2.0.16 and I want to add a personal page module to the site. I'd really like for some sort of page where member's can talk about themselves, upload a photo or two, and add some other information. I looked in the module section and couldn't find a personal page module at all :(

Does anyone know of a really good one? Even if it cost's? Thanks!
