hi all i think this question shuld be in the FAQ or the forum but unfortunately i did not found it and i do me best

sorry


in the user options from the admin side i set that the new users will receive a conformation email to activate there new accounts

but when i try to register with a nother email nothing is sent to my email also my friends said nothing is sent to them althugh that after i register a message tilling me that a confermation email will sent to u

any new user register an email sent to the admin that there is a new user

also i test the contact us it is work fine

and i am using the latest xoop version 2.0.16

It may or may not be XOOPS - it probably is a conflict with your e-mail server where your site is hosted at.

You might want to contact them for help in configuring the mail settings on XOOPS (found in Admin)to match what their mail server needs.

I had to do that with the new server I use as it did not work with the XOOPS default.

thx a lot for u so if i am the admin of this server how can i fix it or from where i can see the sitting of the server to match it with my xoop because i test a nother site in the same server also the same problem so i should set the sitting in the mail option from the admin side in the xoop

can u help me how to know this sitting

First thing to check: the mail system works. Use the "mail to users" option to send yourself a mail, check if it arrives. Check the message is not blocked by your email's SPAM filter.

If nothing arrives, go to the "email" configuration in preferences menu and try other mailing methods. You'll have to configure them.

i just send a message for the admin from "mail to users" and i receive it on my email engmajed@gmail.com inside the spam section

so what is next ?

Activate the PHP debug console and try to resend the activation mail yourself manually. Don't let the system to redirect, as you won't be able to read the debug console.

Oh, I see.

XOOPS 2.2.x have a form to resend the activation email. I adapted it to work in 2.0 versions here:

I did it months ago, it's not part of the core but it's part of, say, "my personal XOOPS distribution".

I can send you the file, just give me an email address.
