I have added a directory scanning feature to a module to allow users to upload fonts to a DIR and the XOOPS preferences for that module get updated with the new folder contents...

But it doesnt update on the fly, I have to manually update the module to get the new directory contents. Is there a way around this?

Put a update link on the users upload page and ask them to do it along with the upload procedure.
