The Article(s) module can do this. Or you can use a news module as well. Basically anything that allows you to add one topic and bump the others down. I used the Article module on another site. I just uploaded Articles 1.03 to a site to test it out. I thought it was an update to Article, but maybe not since Articles 1.03 is in module directory articles and Article 1.0 is in directory article and seems to have more and different capability. I remember there was a specific "blog" module at one time, too, but I never got around to trying it, and I don't remember the name anymore.

blog = article + trackback/pingback

blog modules: xpress, weblog
multiuser blog: lifetype

article is different from articles
