Can someone tell me what editors work for 2.2.4 and News 1.53? I downloaded the new version of xoopseditors (1.10) and updated my framework but I cant get any editors to work.

I looked at the functions.php in news 1.53 and seen that it only called for /class/xxx.php rather than /class/xoopseditor/xxx.php so I changed it but it didnt help.

I am using 2.2.4 and cannot seem to get any editors (within /class/xoopseditors/) with any capabilities worth using to fully function or even show up with any functions.

In the news preferences, all of the editors for choice are not showing up from what I uploaded, like Tinymce etc..
For the FCKeditor, it shows up as FCK editor with a space.

I searched the forums and have found only bits and pieces of previous fixes but nothing exact for an issue with 2.2.4 or news module.

Most searches revealed everyone complaining about issues with FCK not working on 2.0.x which does not relate. I know I cant be the only person who dislikes the 2.0 branch and chooses to be a defiant rebel and use 2.2.x, lol.....so I know somoeone has faced issues with this that can direct me to the light, haha.

I don't know about the 2.2 branch, but I'm using News 1.53 with TinyEditor succesfully. Instead of downloading the editors pack I downloaded TinyEditor module and installed it just like any other module, following the instructions.

It's a great visual editor, BTW.

The editors do not function in the News module unfortunately. Only the Koivi editor functions.

I found a solution in the Internet. With this solution one can use the FCKeditor.

I uploaded, installed, followed all directions and changed permisssions, etc...

The editor originaly showed up but now I am having issues. I now get no tool bar for the editor so I went to the tool set in the admin and dragged/clicked each icon which allowed me to see a toolbar with all the functions BUT, everything was repeated twice on the menu and the menu bar is twice as long/wide as the screen.

Any suggestions?
