Hello,

I have a member who plans to realise in May, to carry out a handbook on the creation and the use of a site under Xoops. Concerning the modules, we have to select the following modules:
1) Protector 2.57
2) XoopsInfo
3) XoopsCare
4) Blocksadmin
5) TinyEditor
6) Multimenu
7) News (+ Such has friend)
8) eXtGallery (+ Hack hook)
9) wfdownloads
10) contact
11) cbb
12) mylinks
For these modules, we have the files of languages French and English, on the other hand I miss those in Portuguese (or Brazilian Portuguese) and in Spanish, I will like well that somebody addresses them to me by email.

The challenge is to carry out in 30 days a handbook of 300 pages in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish. To make a success of this (with a few days more) we seek translators (or correctors) in these languages.
Progressively of the development of the handbook, the pages will be addressed by email under format pdf, and the translators will return way consequently the file received by using the functions of acrobat for work in collaboration (notes and comments of revision).

Thank you in advance for the motivated volunteers and the files of languages of the modules for the realisation of the screenshots

kris

Might I respectfully suggest that you go for Protector 3.02 rather than the now out of date 2.57?

3.02 uses the "Trust Path" whereas the v2.5x does not. There is good documentation on this already (Skenow?) - maybe you would be allowed to adapt that?

Or have I misunderstood the aim? Sorry if this is the case.

Fantastic!

Just to clarify - I understand you have English and French documentation for the listed modules and you just need assistance in translating and correcting for the other languages. Is this correct?

Note: For the Protector documentation, refer to this post by MadFish. It covers install and configuration of the module (version 3.02) - you probably already have this.

That is my understanding, hence my comment about Protector 2.57...........it's out of date and not available for new users from GIJOE's site. Better that the handbook covers current modules - surely no-one would fresh-install 2.57 when 3.02 is available?

Plus, if Kris_fr goes for 3.02 then the documentation is already available for pilfering

- Protector 2.57 and 3.0.2, because the last version cannot be installed on all the types of server
- multimenu 1.83 i think (or/and 1.9)
- contact 1.6
- mylinks 1.10

Thanks Giba

@ ++ : concerning the documentation of the modules, we have some already much (need to await xoops.org), we try to speak little but to advance.
That of which we would like it is right to know if there are people who are interested to translate our texts knowing that we will compile then all that in various languages in format HTML, pdf and chm by at the end of June.

There is a member who proposes to devote one month whole of his time for that, that interests?

Kris

ps : sorry for my very bad English

nota : I am sorry for the Eastern languages (Arab, Chinese, Japanese,…) but we have problems of configuration of our keyboards, therefore if you are interested you will have the screenshots to make, the translation and compilation

Please do feel free to use the protector documentation any way you like, it is meant for people to use.

I am currently working on doc for WF-Downloads, and eric saidhe would do CBB (I do not know how far hehas got).

So if you can wait a couple of weeks i can give you wf-downloads that you can modify to suit this project.

Good idea thanks :)
