I have searched through this board and others to try and find the answer to this but nothing has helped to figure out the problem listed below.

I am using XOOPS 2.014 and when i am using FCKeditor via the content module to insert images:

1) the stylesheet is not diplaying
2) when I go to create a new folder I get "you don't have permissions to create foler"
3) When I click upload file i select file and click upload and nothing happens.

I need this for a client to be able to upload and display pictures in their pages. I realize that it has something to do with paths and permissions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i would even be willing to paypal someone 20 bucks if they can help me solve this. if you have a solution please spell it out and i am tech savy but sort of an idoit with the whole XOOPS setup.

thanks

Re: Cant insert images via FCKeditor HELP!

I have the same problem, it has something to do with server settings and only the host can solve it (although I am not sure how yet).

To work around this problem I now use the Mastop Publish module. It uses the default XOOPS image manager which is integrated in the Mastop WYSIWYG editor. Another great benefit is that you can have different titles in the menu than in the actual content.

You can find the module here: Mastop Publish module for XOOPS

This sounds great, but I am still lokking to find out the source of this. The problem is that the client is used to this interface and is not really interested in changing.

That being the case. Is Master publish a module? and if it is does it require rekeying of content or can i integrate it into current content?

thanks, for the quick reply........

aslo any other ideas anyone let me know.

you guys and gals are the best

Thanks for the reply.

Are you referring to the uploads at the root?

there are no folders like that.......do I just creat them or do I have to re-install?

Yes, I refer to XOOPS_ROOT.
If these Folders are missing, put on these.

I was having the same issues and finally spent a bit of time and tackled it all and did a write-up on it. If you want to get FCKeditor running on the XOOPS 2.0.x branch, then try my post on implementing FCKeditor on 2.0.x. Hope it helps.
