Hello all:

We have a small development team and I am looking at implementing gforge or savane (basically sourceforge clones) functionality. As I peruse dev.xoops.org I realize these modules are pretty much what I am looking for, plus I would get bucketloads more functionality by implementing XOOPS instead due to the other available modules like helpdesk, polls, etc. So are the modules that drive dev.xoops.org available for download?

Thanks!

/Chris

I don't believe they were ever released, and don't think there are any plans too either.

I do know they were heavily modified, and may even include modifications to the core, don't quote me though on that point, as I may be wrong.

There is another module called XProject at http://xprojects.co.uk

But be warned McNaz whom created the Xprojects modules, is no longer supporting them.

Hope this is of some help.

Actually, these modules (as it is a module set) have been released from the very first start. They haven't been kept updated tho. You can find the project and its files here:
http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?myxoopsforge

And Novell has made their own XOOPS 2.0 version of the XOOPS Forge modules, and dubbed them Novell Forge. These files are available for download as well. You can find those files here:
http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?forge

Both projects have been abandoned tho, so there is no active support for these modules. Feel free to ask here on xoops.org tho, you never know if anyone can help you out!

I stand corrected, lol.

Perhaps I just never really noticed them.

Will development start on these again, to bring the XOOPS dev site up to spec?

Well bummer....this seems to not run at all unfortunately. I installed a fresh copy of 2.0.16 and the latest myxoopsforge. The modules all installed ok, but when I try to do things like start a new project I get:

Notice: Undefined variable: xoopsConfig in file /header.php line 39
Notice: Undefined variable: xoopsConfig in file /header.php line 39
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in file /modules/xfmod/include/errorhandler.php line 55
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in file /modules/xfmod/include/errorhandler.php line 55
Notice: Undefined variable: xoopsUser in file /include/notification_select.php line 34

I am brand new to xoops, I know php and MySQL but I have no idea where to start with fixing this...looking at some of the xoops_version.php files it looks like this these modules were updated to XOOPS 2.x but obviously this is still broken in a major way. Any ideas, pointers, help, volunteers, ???
