http://www.essay-masters.com Check it out, youll see what i mean

Like, all i have is the user menu and modules on the left, but its a blank page otherwise. is there a module ih ave to install?

And i know that those Themse are in PHP format, im not very familiar with php styling. Any help would be great!

Go to your admin, and system configuration, then choose what module you want for your start page, or you can just fill your start page with blocks from the modules, ie new content, etc.

admin ---> system ---> preferences ---> General Settings ---> then use the option: 'Module for your start page'

Thats all you need.

Take care.

ohh. thats really nifty. i did learn something there, but thats not what i mean. i mean just BASIC simple HTML. on the home page.

Is there a module to specifically create html paragraphs and stuff on the home page?

Ohh sorry I misunderstood what you meant, lol.

Well there are modules like smartsections from http://smartfactory.ca that allow html files to be uploaded.

But you can also use the XOOPS blocks for html, so you could create a block, insert html and display on the home page to all users. <--- that's probably the simplest.

Have you looked in the module repository? Try the third one down here: https://xoops.org/modules/repository/viewcat.php?cid=94

I use the one called Content. Make your page, then go to the administration menu. Mouse over "System Admin", then slide down the submenu and choose "Preferences". From there you can click on "edit" beside "General Settings". At, or about, the fifth item on that page it will ask which module to use for your start page. Good luck.

If your going to download that last module mentioned, then get the latest version here:

http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?content

Always try and keep your modules upto date to try and avoid security risks.

psss.... smartsections is better, in my opinion of course.

Take care.
