What does Valid Token Expired

I keep getting this error when trying to administrate my site.

"Valid Token Expired" And it just redirects me back to the prev. page without making the changes that i requested of it.

I cant change preferences or anything, please help!

It means your session time has expired. Relogin

i have and did. Not to mention in two different browsers.

delete alle cockies, browser cache and files in the folder 'cache'. then try again to login. if the login fail set the user session time ind the admin area to al higher value

i have tried changing the user session time to lower, but after i hit ok, it just gives me that stupid error!

god, sorry for the triple post, but just to let you know, i can login, and few forums. As well as post. but i cannot Moderate. Like change any prefferences. Basically anything with administration i cant do. i see all the options, but after i change them, it gives me that error on the top

This can happen when you set your custom session time too low. I've done this one before. If you are familiar with phpMyAdmin, it's easy to fix. Just open up you database in phpMyAdmin, browse the <yourprefix>_config table and look for the conf_name column value of session_expire. By default, the conf_value is set to 15. I've found from experience that you don't really want to go much lower than that or you can get into trouble, like you are having now.

Just set the conf_value back to 15 and you should be OK.

sir, is there anyway i can give you access to my thing? cuz i have never used php my admin. Im using it now, and i found the file, but i cant seem to edit it. If i can, ill give you information.

I would like to strongly caution you, be very careful who you give administrative access to your server and site to. Some users may post here appearing to be helpful, but cannot be trusted. Before you give any member administrative access to your server or site, please review their profile and post history. There are many helpful people here, but there are some bad apples as well.
