I just wanted to show you an example of how you can display the latest images from Flickr for a particular keyword tag with the module Planet, by phppp .

http://myottawa.ca/modules/imagefeed/

In this case I cloned & renamed the module, as well as changing the index page template a bit, to present the images in a particular way. (You can do this with just the default installation of Planet however).

To add a feed of the latest images for a particular tag to your module, enter & customise this url below:

http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=ottawa&format=rss_200

Change the word "ottawa" to your city's name, or any other keyword you like!

EDIT: ...and I just figured out how to add the latest YouTube Videos for a particular keyword...add in this feed:

http://www.youtube.com/rss/tag/ottawa.rss

Again, just change the word ottawa for whatever keyword you want.

Does anyone know how to edit the index template of this module, so that the blog headline is the link to the actual blog?

Right now, you have to click the headline on the index page, which takes you to the article page, and from there you can actually click on through to the blog posting. This second page is redundant for my needs however, and I want people to click through to the external blog from the index page of this module.

Does anyone know how to modify the template code to do this? I tried a few things myself, but it didn't work.

Nice work jeffgr. I always wondered if XOOPS could integrate with Flickr (or any camera-phone upload/gallery site). I'll install Planet and have a look at the template, but may be a while before I can do so at present.
