how to put articles on the main page

I installed AMS 2.41.
I understand how that works and how the topics and archiving works.

What I don't understand is how to get that content (articles of my choosing) to display on the home page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe what you need to do is go into the administration panel in system > general settings > preferences and select AMS from the select box in the option Module for your start page
