I have installed XOOPS succesfuly. front end is working fine but when i try to go in administration menu, I recieve a message "failed to open file" & can submit page as loging admin panel first time.

plz guide me.

Does it say which file it can't open?

I am having the same problem. It does not say which file fails to open, when I enter my site's addy without the 'www.' I get another message that says 'you do not have permission to access this area' any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the amswer to how to repair your admin section:

Q: I need your help, I have not upgraded to 2.0.14 because I am having problems. I can not open my administration section here what it tells me "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed." This is not my first time entering the admin section I have created a full community. When I press the button this is what I get "FAIL OPEN FILE" what is this?

If I upgrade I will lose everyhing since upgrading is not working it kill one of my site that I developed



A: the function cannot open the file.. maybe because it doesnt exist Try:
check if the 'cache' directory is chmod(777).
