hi heres hoping you are still around, as I left this but still have trouble with getting the page titles I want in the wordpress module, there are some great plugins for wordp[ress that do this but they do not work on the XOOPS module as they rely on the wordpress theme being altered when this module uses the XOOPS theme.

I dont want the module name to appear, I would like the page title to be the web title on the homepage and other article pages to be category and article name or in a category list just the category

Heres hoping you or someone can help

Hi macmend,

If I am understanding your question correctly, the only way to have the wordpress module name not appear in the web address that I am aware of is this:

https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=589

To have the category and article title show in the url go to your wordpress control panel >> options >> permalinks and choose Custom, specify below. Below that add /index.php/%category%/%postname%/ into the Custom structure: input box.

Hi Lana

thanks for your answer, but it is not quite what I mean.

I want the page title at the top of the page to say at the least:

article name - category name - websitename

e.g templars - spirtuality - jonathan spencer's tales of ordinary wisdom

I would prefer if for each article it had

article name - category name

e.g templars - spirituality

and for the category

category name

e.g spirituality

or

category name - websitename

spirituality - jonathan spencer's tales of ordinary wisdom

I also want to get rid of the >> before the article name.

There is a hack/plugin for wordpress that does this but it can't be used on the XOOPS wordpress module because it relys on the wordpress themes and the file paths are different.

Hey,

For that you would have to go into your control panel > files > wordpress module > templates > and find in these pages what of the html that you would want to edit.
