Am watching this CMS for about a year and havent found a reasonably active dev site or a recent roadmap. How are the things?

While 2007 just started.
About new releases there were several releases, i think that the developers are just more careful to what they release as a new version so there won't be anymore splits in the branches 2.0.x vs. 2.2.x that came with more work for core developers to bring them together again as 1 stable branch.
I have seen lots of sites still using XOOPS 1.0.x and even more using 2.0.9 & 2.0.10, because the core is stable enough and supports a very very large variety of modules.
There has been a lot of work in modules & themes departments and also lots of new sites opened just for the help of XOOPS users whether they assist users for free or not , so most def XOOPS is not dead and i don't think is now the time to be ignorant and say "XOOPS is dead" while last core release was in November
Everything I'm not made me everything I am

Yes all 44,000 plus users on this site are dead...

We're just sitting around doing nothing at all.

You could read the roadmap, but that might be asking toooo much.
Pax vobiscum,

may the road rise to meet your feet!
