Hi,

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16, and wondering which links module I should use, since the latest versions of XOOPS do not come with the original mylinks module. I've seen some references on here to a smartlinks module, but cannot find any download for this. I checked on smartfactory, and from what I can see, smartlinks is an upgrade to WF-Links, but is not yet available. Although, I'm a little confused, since I've viewed posts on here recommending smartlinks as if it is already in existence.

I'm hesitant to use WF-Links, since I've seen lots of posts about bugs. As for the orginal Mylinks module, I can't find the download on here to that. Do I need to download an older version of XOOPS to get the Mylinks module? I've searched around here, but can't seem to find the module by itself.

What is recommended as the most stable and functional links module? Is PDlinks more stable than WF-links?

Thanks for any information,
Dave

There are 2 versions of WF-Links 1.03 available at the moment:
- Version 1.03b is equal to 1.03, but without all the bugs.
- Version 1.03c is equal to 1.03b, but is able to work with WYSIWYG editors. See readme.pdf.

Both versions can be downloaded here.

I have a large mylinks db build over quite a while.

I've got a few bugs after a restore of the data (can't add links for example or access submitted links).

So.. I thought an upgrade might be the best route. Is there any upgrade script from mylinks to wflink 1.0.3b?

[yes in the /update folder instructions /docs/english/

I see 1.0.3c but I'm worried, it could cause me problems with a later upgrade to smartlinks when it becomes available any ideas?

thanks

Andrew

Which module and version are you using?
WF-Links 1.03, WF-Links 1.03b or WF-Links 1.03c?
