Is there or is there plans to put a random security image during sign up?

I got a guy running a script against one of my websites that does a huge amount of sign ups in a very short amount of time.

If there was a random image of letters / numbers that would have to be typed in then that should kill this script they are running.

Yes I have banned their IP address but they are changing it like using a different proxy or their ISP has DHCP enabled on there website.

Thanks

If you select user confirmation on registration, robots cant register. but still you have to delete many inactive users.

then try to install captcha hack for xoops:

for XOOPS 2.0.16:

In Frameworks 1.10, a complete CAPTCHA package is available, for both image mode and text mode.

Check the file for usage guide:
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xoopschina/Frameworks/captcha/formcaptcha.php?revision=293&view=markup

or check the demo:

Thanks but that is what I am trying to get away from. I had to delete over 150 users in about 30 minutes and the name just changes by 1 example aro123456, aro123457 etc etc.

Thanks php I will give it a try

I really dont understand how this works or how it is called. I follow the readme.txt file and I think I followed it, but once I upload this how does this module get called?
