tinyeditor 1.0 final release Plugins

In several of the plugin compressed folders there is a readme.txt file which have instructs to paths etc for tinymce.
Do I have to install tinymce and do as these instructs say for the plugin? Some have instructs to make changes to other files like scripts within the plugin too. Soz I am a little confused (i know i know, what's new about that).
Do I disregard the references to tinymce and the script/file changes and just upload the plugin as is to the editor/plugins folder and then integrate them in the xoops/admin/modules/tinyeditor ?

You should ignore these readme files.
The plugins are originally written for TinyMCE by third parties.
You don't have to install TinyMCE because tinyeditor is 'TinyMCE for Xoops'.
Just unzip the plugins and upload the plugins to the folder /modules/tinyeditor/editor/plugins/ on your server.

Just one more question for now-I think.

Inside the tinyeditor editor settings there is a config which reads this:

Subdirectory

If your XOOPS-homepage resides in a subdirectory (e.g. http://localhost/anotherdir/), you have to set here the name of the subdirectory like /anotherdir


my XOOPS is located in:

home/xxxxxxx/public_html/

Do I need to do anything for this Subdirectory config in the editor settings?

I don't think so, because home/xxxxxxx/public_html/ is the path on your server.
This setting is for people that install XOOPS in a sub-directory instead of in the root.
If you installed XOOPS in a sub-directory then your website url should look like this: http://www.yoursite.com/subdir/
In this url /subdir is the sub-directory the should be entered in tinyeditors settings.
