I've been trying to use the module "wfdownloads" (version 2.05) - and for the life of me I can't get it to work right. What I need it to do is allow listings of Linux bash scripts, either with or without the extension ".sh". It won't let me upload them - it keeps telling me that "mimetype application/octetstream not permitted", even though I specifically attempted to allow files with the .sh extension. I've been trying for the past couple days, and it's not working. All I want is to let users download shell scripts. I love the module and it seems to have every feature I think I could ever need. But I can't upload the files. I tried working around the problem by using a dummy file with an extension of .txt then changing it to the bash script later - but now it just prints it out as if it were just a text file. Has anyone ever run into this before? If someone knows what to do, I'd be eternally grateful.

Thank you, I will try that. This is incredibly frustrating - apparently sh is an odd mimetype? (I hate mimetypes). This really is a cool module though.

You only need to add the correct mimetype to the .sh extension.

By default wf-download comes with this definition:

Quote:
extension: .sh
mimetypes: application/x-shar

so you only change:

Quote:
mimetypes: application/x-shar application/octetstream

Note that the different mimetypes are just seperated by a blank (space).

An update won´t change this though its highly recommended since 2.05 is much less secure, much more querrie intensive and 3.x does have a bunch new features and overhauling.
Sorry, this signature is experiencing technical difficulties. We will return you to the sheduled signature as soon as possible ...

Thanks - that worked perfectly. I apparently never entered it right. The only problem I'm having now is that instead of downloading the file, it opens in the browser as text. Granted it can just be copied and pasted and saved as "Install" or "Install.sh", but that just seems really inefficiant and awkward to me. Maybe I'll just have to change the file type.

Anyway, thanks a ton
