Does Xoops admin do Smarty templates?

Ok after quickly think I would make an admin for the painter; which will in mo...
Went to do it using new found Smarty skills...yet then nothing....mmm...so looked through other peoples work; noticed lots of echo's, yet no Smarty calls?

Is it me missing something or does XOOPS admin not have Smarty also; yet? or have I missed something?

I wouldn't be able to affirm it as yes, it's not possible, yet does seem not possible because I've tried in many ways to make the XOOPS redirect in the system admin to display the graphics and it hasn't been possible.

Ok then could we, as a XOOPS whole add Smarty also to admin as if all php calls are extra server load; that Smarty could pre-render it to html for us... wouldn't it save more resources if we could use Smarty in Admin also?

I don't know. I am not experienced with this. Maybe it's something that will come in next XOOPS versions.

I would be very surprised if this wasn't being looked at for 2.3 onwards
