Hello, I am performing the upgrade mentioned in the subject line. I followed the upgrade instructions provided in the tar ball, but am having difficulty in the last step, where I am to log in to the administration console in order to upgrade the system module.

I get the following text: This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed.

There are Submit and Cancel buttons below that. If I press Submit, XOOPS throws messages that it cannot find my modules on top of the standard "Loggin you in ..." screen, then bounces me back to the "This is your first time ..." page. In essence, I cannot log in to XOOPS in order to upgrade the system module.

Perhaps there is something simple I need to do to get beyond this point?

make sure the cache & templates_c folders are writable.

Incidentally, what are the correct perms for templates_c and cache? 644?
