Hi all,


i've set up a community using xoops. Great tool! I've change the logo to logo.png and have updated the theme.html file. Everything looks ok when accessing the site, but certain pages don't show up the new logo ! They seem to keep the old configuration (logo.gif). So as a result of that I don't see the new logo.. i thought once you updated the theme.html every page would update automatically?

Here's an example

GOOD
Resized Image

BAD
Resized Image

I get the same bad thing when I post news and then I click post, I get the old logo and slogan on the page that says 'thanks for posting your submissions'

Anyone that can help me out here??

You probably have older cached files referenced in the templates_c and/or cache folders.

So in this case what do I have to do to fix this problem?

Probably the easiest way is to manually delete all files in the templates_c and cache folder except for index.html (which is there for security)and adminmenu.php in the cache folder. Clear your browser cache and see if the pages update correctly.

Didn't work...

I cleaned it all, also cleared browser cache, restarted firefox and still the same.. :(

maybe its a cache in your ISP?
ask from others if they can see the logo

I've just noticed something..

The page when you logout or when you submit news is system_redirect.html


I've loaded this page in dreamweaver and noticed this page wasn't changed to logo.png... so I'm thinking XOOPS loads this page whenever you logout or submit..

I'm now trying to upload it and replace it

i suggest you to try to upload your new logo in your themes/yourtheme to themes/default/

PROBLEM SOLVED !

Solution was:

update the system_redirect.html file and upload it to /themes//modules/system/

;)
