Modification or upgrade option of News 1.50

I'm desperately looking for a way to let my members discuss a news posting in the cbb forum. I have tons of news postings, and disabled comments on it because I want them to use the forum for that...

So what I would like to see in News 1.50 is an option that let users discuss that article/posting in the forums.


I know it has been done in phpbb so why not in XOOPS !?

PS: Does one of you guys perhaps know how I can put links from my news articles to the CBB forum?

There isn't a topic yet, but as soon as one clicks the link to discuss it in the forum, it's been created..?

Great, thanks for the code.. i've inserted my disclaimer now and uploaded news_article.html to news/templates , but I still don't see that freaking disclaimer. I've heard of something like updating the news module? I've been trying to do so in the module section in the admin panel but no luck.

What should I do so it would appear?

Ok so I have edited the file news_item.html

and changed:

<td class="itemHead"><span class="itemTitle"><{$story.title}></span></td>


into

<td class="itemHead"><span class="itemTitle"><{$story.news_title}></span></td>




Uploaded that file to my news templates and replaced the existing news_item.html file.. But I still see the (:) sign !

What am I doing wrong here??

If you could be a little more specific where to exactly add my text :/ If I open up the news_article.html page it's a blurry for me where to exactly put that text so that i would appear on every extended view news post

Hi all,

since i'm posting some contents that might involve legal procedures i'm looking for a way to automatically add a disclaimer at the end of the extended text view in News 1.44 Is there a way to do this by adding some code?

PROBLEM SOLVED !

Solution was:

update the system_redirect.html file and upload it to /themes/<themename>/modules/system/

I've just noticed something..

The page when you logout or when you submit news is system_redirect.html


I've loaded this page in dreamweaver and noticed this page wasn't changed to logo.png... so I'm thinking XOOPS loads this page whenever you logout or submit..

I'm now trying to upload it and replace it
