My users upload big photos to gallery

Hi, I have XOOPS 2.0.15 and my gallery version: Powered by XoopsGallery v1.3.3.7
Ported from Gallery.


My users can upload files but they upload files with are so big... jpg files larger than 1MB.They do not want to resize the files and it is a serious problem.


If I want/need to prevent this.. is possible to configure my galley to this >1MB jpg files to automatically resize to best and smaller size files and delete the source file.

Your fist problem will be to configure (if you have the right to do it) PHP so that it accepts large files for uploading.

Hervet: Did you read the question? The problem is that he doesn't want large files! So his PHP installation does already accept large files!

You could (if you have access to php.ini) reduce the UPLOAD_MAX_FILESIZE but this is then valid for all uploads, not only for pics in a gallery.

But you should first look for a possible setting in the gallery module you are using.

Perhaps you should ask the developer of XoopsGallery (www.XoopsGallery.org I think) about adding a permission based upload size if possible?
