I've recently stumbled across Xaraya at http://Xaraya.com.

Other than this thread I can't find any discussion of it.

What are people's experience/knowledge etc on it? What are it's good points and bad points? etc

Xaraya is wonderful, but VERY complicated to pick up.

The "hook" approach is simply amazing.

Be patient with it though, there is one hell of a learning curve.

I would be surprised if some features like this haven't been looked at for future XOOPS releases

Most people have trouble switching Gears. The administration is much different than any other cms, and it takes a good while before you really understand even 1/10 of what this cms is capable of.

Of course, there is a reason i prefer XOOPS. Everyone has to draw their own conclusions.

Its an extremely powerful portal. Have fun :)
