I just installed the News 1.44 module.

But there is a problem with the News 1.44 Module. When i want to view news categories and the main news page, there is no content on it.

It appears blank and the only information on the page is the News notification and the news drop down menu.

Please help needed in figuring out what is wrong with my
NEWS 1.44 Module.

Is there a setting i have to click on so that news will appear in the news category which lists all the news under that category and also in the main news page.

Thanks in advance.

Help really needed.

The permission have been set

So that only Webmaster views, add news
and registered and ananymous users can have access rights to the module.

Is there any other permissions?

Its really getting frustrating.

Um...have you set your blocks so that news is visible? Do this in admin/blocks?

Other than this lets first check your debug and give us more information:

Turn on debug:
To switch on debug, go to system admin-->preferences and then general settings. You will see a "Debug mode" field. Choose "PHP Debug". Then go to the page that has problems and copy and paste any error messages under php-debug messages in the template below.
When posting any debug messages please 'wrap' the message like this: Use the word 'code' in square brackrets [] and at the end put /code in square brackets.
Debug message here

Give information about your site
Copy the following template into your post and fill-in as much information as possible. The more information you give, the more likely you will receive a quick and effective reply to your post.

XOOPS Version:
Module Name/Version:
PHP Version:
MySQL Version:
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other):
Operating System:
Theme you are using:
Custom template: (Yes/No)
PHP Debug Messages:
MySQL Debug Messages:
Smarty Debug Messages:

i installed a fresh XOOPS installation on my server online.

And everything worked well.

I think it is a problem with my Apache or MySql.

I am using XSAS on my Laptop.

Thanks for the help.

What XOOPS version are you using?

If you're using XOOPS 2.0.15 replace the file /class/xoopsform/form.php with this one.
