Hello,

i've got a few questions about Xoops.
I wanted to launch a new Portal for our Company-Intranet.

We need:
- Newssystem ( ok, every CMS got that )
- Polls ( most can that too )
- Forum ( some drop out now )
- Chat ( jeah, now the field gets clearer )
- Blogs for/from Users ( <- thats the Question: can XOOPS do that? )

We want a System that allows every registerd User open/write a own Blog.
We DO NOT want ONE blog written by the Site-Admin or the Moderators.
The Blogs don't need design-features, everything should be kept in portal.
Basic Blog-Functionality is enough (blog title = "Username's Blog", owner can add articles, others can post comments)

Is this possible with Xoops?

Have a look at Popnupblog by Blue Moon, powerful, simple and integrates with XOOPS groups.

Thanks for the fast reply!

I'll test this PopnupBlog-Module then.

weBLog 1.4x is better imo.

Not used that, if you have tested both would appreciate a comparison?

I installed WebLog 1.41, but can't add privileged Usergroups ( weBLog Configuration »» Privileges )

Debug-Mode says:
NoticeOnly variable references should be returned by reference in file /modules/weblog/class/priv.php line 50

SELECT
FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid '0' AND conf_catid '1'ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM xoops_session WHERE sess_id
'fa8cab9d4451d4d5a0a5d7e5a1204468'
SELECT FROM xoops_users WHERE uid=
SELECT
FROM xoops_modules WHERE dirname 'weblog'
SELECT FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid '12'ORDER BY conf_order ASC

I removed Popnupblog before i installed WebLog.
Tried it also with a fresh Xoops-Installation XOOPS 2.0.15 (released 2006/08/25)
