The install docs indicate XOOPS will go into the root directory on my web server, so the URL will be: www.[mydomain].com

I want XOOPS to be: www.[mydomain].com/forum

Will that work OK? I downloaded latest build today.

And Place in the root of your webspace and index.php file to automatically open XOOPS from the folder.

index.php

header("Location: /forum/");

?>
GDL-Web.com :: Website development.
Xoopslance.com::Freelancing and Projects
thelionsden-arena.net:: Clan/League/Ladder Hosting

What are the SEO implications of using this technique?

I have had a XOOPS site on the root domain folder for a year and have 1000's of google indexed pages - i now need to organize, but don't want to start over with google.

Keep the old folder page names intact as a redirect to the new folder and new pages?
