I run a website which needs the WordPress blog mod to do our news/updates. I have a problem with keeping random spammers from commenting on the articles with wonderful things like porn links and other fun stuff I would rather not wish to be associated with. I tried to find a way to competely disable the commenting feature as I don't need it anyway.

I've tried to turn off the comments through the posts themselves, when I create the articles. But I have a suspicion
that they are still able to leave comments through the RSS feeds.

If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to block this stuff, or at the very least knows of a way to automatically delete them instead of going into each post and clearing the comments one by one, I would be most greatful.

Re: WordPressME disable comments

I think there're some plugins you can use for this... might not disable comments, but I seem to remember reading that they were pretty effective at filtering out spammers.
Have you searched the codex?

also look into Akismet here and elsewhere.
