Users not receiving activation emails

Some users are unable to receive XOOPS activation emails despite logs showing that emails are successfully sent.
Emails are not going to spam and there is no sign of emails failing from unix/email logs. Very bizarre!

Can anyone help with this?

More information is needed if we are to help you - perticulalry your XOOPS version and your mail setup.

Check that your server domain/IP are not blacklisted somewhere.
Check the DNS records for the mail server.

I am using XOOPS 2.015,
- sendmail
redhat enterprise 4
- with postfix

I am assured by the host that the problem is not with domain/records. How can I check if the domain is blacklisted? Although, I would be surprised if this is the case.
