module 0.96, and their relation to 'article'?

I don't know article module as such but generally in terms of organisations for articles, downloads, newsposts, and forums you first create categories for them. Lets say you site is a sports site - you would need to think about the categories...

eg> top sports, sport issues, sports health

or you might focus on individual sports
eg-team sports, individual sports, extreme sports

Then within each catgeory you can then establish topics or if you like subcategories

top sports - football/basketball/etc
Sport Issues - umpiring/professional sporting associations/sponsorship
sportshealth - keeping fit/drugs

or
team sports - football etc
individual sports - tennis, golf
extreme sports - bunji jumping, speed racing etc.
