You should be able to view, edt, repair you database via MySQL and phpmyadmin at your webhost. It is not a function within xoops. When you install XOOPS you first need to create a database - if you used fantastico it did it for you - XOOPS then connects to the database and stores info in it, creating tables with modules installed etc. So if you want to play in your database you need to use a database program which in this case should be PHPmyadmin. You access this via you website admin. If you use Cpanel it is linked at the bottom of the 'MYSQL databases' folder - scroll down and click on phpmyadmin.
