I am trying to put together a site for our school. I have been wading through modules over the weekend looking for something that will work as a course catalog including Course Title, Description and Teacher and another module for a faculty directory including picture, email and a general blurb. I have gotten nowhere fast in my looking.

Does anyone have any suggestions for modules that could me made to work for these sections?

Smart Sections may work for you - good for a course directory at least as you can categorise the faculties and with in that create sub categories. You can add the course description as an article and have info on each of the teachers in the same way. http://www.smartfactory.ca/

There is also a module playground and links to updated modules in some forum posts - a search of the FAQ modules section will lead you to some of these.
